Grading Policies

There will be four examinations. Three one-hour examinations and a comprehensive final. Individuals with an A average (94 and above) on the first 3 exams will have the option of taking a fourth exam covering the materials from the web lectures instead of the final. The final numerical grade will be based on an average of the four examination grades. Letter grades will be assigned according to the following:

94-100%
90-93%
87-89%
84-86%
80-83%
77-79%
70-76%
60-69%
below 60%

Make-up Policy

If an exam is going to be misssed, the instructor MUST be notified PRIOR to the exam. Proper documentation or a doctor's note will be required in order to take the make-up exam. The make-up exam will be given during the lecture period following the exam.
