and thank you for your interest in Penn State. We hope you find
this website informative and helpful. The Department of Horticulture
at Penn State (University Park campus) is the premier provider of
horticulture education for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. With
a strong tradition of leadership in teaching, extension and basic
and applied research, we offer a balanced and comprehensive program
in an array of plant science specialties, a rich curriculum and
numerous degree programs. Prospective undergraduate and graduate
students will find information on educational programs as well as
internship, research and foreign study opportunities. If you are
drawn to research, you will find out about some of the exciting
and innovative work our faculty are engaged in. Gardening, tree
and other green enthusiasts will find publications and fact sheets
